Ilana and Steven both grew up in the valley and probably crossed paths at the Sherman Oaks Galleria many times. Growing up, Steven spent a lot of time down the street from Ilana at her neighbor’s house - he happened to be one of Steven’s closest friends. They also went to the same summer camp one year and their families belonged to the same temple. Yet it still took a dating app for them to finally meet…

Their first date was at Laurel Tavern in Studio City (they really, really love the valley). They played Jewish geography and talked about anything and everything for 3 hours, both knowing something truly special was happening.

Steven proposed to Ilana at their home in Brentwood, on her birthday. Ilana was running late, as usual, making Steven nervous, as usual, but it was still perfect. Steven surprised Ilana with a celebratory dinner (in Sherman Oaks, naturally), where both of their families were eagerly waiting for them.

We can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family this fall!
